Style: American stout
Menu description: Roasted coffee, dark sugars, slight earthiness.

Tasting notes: The coffee, earthiness, and sweetness flavors are each faint, but they blend nicely for a smooth taste.

Style: English pale ale
Menu description: Full bodied, clean, hint of fruits & caramel, roasted hops.
ABV: 4.8%
Tasting notes: The first time I tried this, I thought it was enjoyable. Not very bitter with a good aftertaste. My try was completely different. It was a bitter trash beer that tastes like Bud. Did I have the right beer the first time? Can this review even be called reliable?

Style: American pale ale
Menu description: Light grassy hops, sweet malts, touch of spice.
ABV: 6%
Tasting notes: I forgot to write this up the first time around, but that hasn’t stopped me from ordering it several times. It’s a really good, amber colored beer. You would think that in the 5 times I’ve had this, I would have written down some more substantial notes than this, but apparently, I was too drunk and/or dumb to do so.

Style: American Imperial IPA.
Menu description: Hint of biscuits, citrus, touch of pine.
ABV: 9%
Tasting notes: Sweetish, yet with bitter after tones. It’s an IPA (more accurately a “double IPA,” whatever that is), so the bitterness isn’t unexpected. Not really anything special, but it’s not bad either. Typical, but with a name like that, you’ve gotta try it.

Style: American Imperial IPA
Menu description: Tangerine & grapefruit lead to an earthy malt finish.
ABV: 9.5%
Tasting notes: This is one of those beers where the description us spot on. I taste everything in the order listed! It’s pretty good. The malt back end adds a nice tartness to the fruits and makes this something that can be enjoyed either by itself or with a meal.

Style: Pilsner
Menu description: Cool & crisp, tangy malts, bread notes.
ABV: 4.8%
Tasting notes: Very pale with a distinctive scent. This has a sweet taste. There’s gotta be some kind of fruit or honey in here. It’s interesting, not like much else I’ve had before. Definitely different from the pilsners I’m used to.

Style: American pale wheat ale
Menu description: Hint of lemon, light hops, mix of spices.
ABV: 5.3%
Tasting notes: There’s a lemony flavor which I like. The lemon citrus flavor is pretty strong and really evokes a summer feel. Strong carbonation and a light body help with that impression. Not much in the way of spice, and the hops are more smelled than tasted, but it’s actually decent. Not my first choice, but I wouldn’t turn it down if offered. This is one of those beers where the more I drink it, the more I like it.

Style: American black ale
Menu description: Grapefruit & pine on the nose nutty dark chocolate backbone.
ABV: 7%
Tasting notes: Fuck the description, it’s all hops, all the time. I don’t taste anything else. There’s also a sort of musky or smoky flavor. But mostly hops.

Style: Belgian style dark ale
Menu description: Hint of oak & red wine, malty, flavors of dark fruits.
ABV: 8.3%
Tasting notes: Quite malty, but decent. Tastes kinda chocolatey on my second go around. I approve!

Style: Ancient ale
Menu description: Brewed with tea, citrus & floral flavors, very yummy!! Subtle and balanced spice, notes of black tea, cloves and pepper.
ABV: 9%
Tasting notes: A sweet tasting and sweet smelling beer. It has an almost honey flavor with a hint of spice. There’s something else is going on in with the flavor that is tough to describe. Complex, yet inviting.
